Thank you to the Kansas City community for coming together on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 to celebrate the legacy and impact of our work at the Global Ties KC Heartland Pop Up. Hosted at Mark One Electric, the event was presented by SnapIT Solutions. The evening included networking, fun food and drink, raffles, music from the Fountain City 45’s and an opportunity to learn more about how Global Ties KC is giving our community international connections! The event included over 160 people and raised over $20,000 to support the future of the Youth Diplomat Institute.
In addition to our local community, we were joined by an International Visitor Leadership Program delegation from the Caribbean, and members of the Young Leader of the America Initiative delegation from South America.
Through professional and youth exchanges that create thousands of meaningful points of connection between international visitors and locals, we ensure that the Heartland is included in vital foreign policy conversations, and provide students and adults with the skills, tools and opportunities to function as effective citizen diplomats through international exposure.
